#QueNadieSeQuedeSinComer
Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), operating in the Island for the past 35 years to fight hunger by distributing food, education and hope, for a stronger Puerto Rico. We work to address food insecurity in children, college students, older adults, families, and the sick and disadvantaged communities on the Island. We are the only member of the Feeding America network in Puerto Rico. As a NMEAD Community Hub, we are Puerto Rico’s first line of food defense during emergencies. For us, equity means keeping the neighbors we serve at the center of our work and decision-making.
We have a network of approximately 130 member organizations – our extended hands - that allow us to reach the 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico.
